Sun

So, I am trying to learn as I go here. Here is a picture of the same building shot 25 min apart, as you can see by the clock on the bldg. One is shot with the sun at my back and the other with the sun in front of me. I am learning that where I stand makes a huge lighting difference. Hope to mark this down as a lesson learned, but whose to say I will always have the choice of where I stand.

nana and papa's

Tyler's mom wanted some pictures of Nana and Papa and all of the grandkids, since they are only all together once a year. I did my best to help her out, though I am far from being able to take pictures of other people!!! I had fun trying to capture moments after the posed shots were done. Here are a couple from yesterday. I learned one thing, I have to be way more vocal when taking pictures, and also more observant. Are you kidding, Elise had some lame armband and a stuffed animal in every shot! Oh well, maybe by next summer I'll be better:) PS: Blogger sucks!!! I promise these pictures are not blurry, but I'm not taking the time to upload through photobucket!

Elise. . .through a new lens

My lens came in the mail yesterday and I swiftly put Tanner down and said Elise, lets take some pictures!  She loves the camera, a little more than the hair brush:)  I got so many good shots of her, you know from a mother's perspective.  She is just so natural, I chased her all over as she played and she loved it.  I LOVE MY NEW LENS!!!!!!!!  Can't wait to take more pictures soon.

Never Posted Alaska Cruse Pics?

So if you've seen my other blog you've seen most of these pictures.  I'm really just doing this for me to mark my photography progress.  I added a couple here that aren't on my other blog too.
Here's to Alaska!

New Lens--for real!

I did it, I ordered a new lens.  I can't wait to get it, hopefully tomorrow.  I'll get out shooting again and hope to post a decent shot!  Wish me luck.

I bought the Canon 18-200 mm is lens.  Woo Hoo.  Pretty excited! obviously.

New Lens? 28-75 f2.8

I was playing around with Jamie's lens the other day for a couple hours. I have to say I really liked it. It was a very bright sunny day and hard to find shade at 1 in the afternoon, but Tanner and I did ok. I got some pretty good pictures of him. He was in a great mood and we had fun just playing together outside in a few different places. Now I just have to make a decision. New Lens??? Photoshop CS4? (student ed. of course) Every time I think about it I think I want a new lens and then people say no--Photoshop! I have no editing software currently, but will I really take the time to edit pictures. I hardly have time to upload them! I have to say, I personally think I took some of my better pictures with this lens. You tell me?? I have an 18-55 kit lens that I NEVER use, maybe once and threw all the pictures out. I use my 50mm fixed always. It's my only other lens. Is that really all I need right now????? Oh, and ps, why do my pictures never look quite as good when I upload them to blogger!!
